The verification process for every card review
- Pull primary data from the issuer. Annual fee, joining fee, fuel-surcharge waiver caps, lounge limits, reward earn rates, and milestone benefits are taken directly from the issuer’s public MITC page on the date of writing. We never quote secondary aggregators.
- Cross-check fee waiver thresholds. Since issuers occasionally change spend-based waiver tiers (₹4 lakh, ₹6 lakh, ₹8 lakh annual spend), we confirm the latest threshold against the bank’s 24×7 customer service script or current promotional T&C, not legacy press releases.
- Run the math ourselves. Reward-point values, effective cashback rates, lounge access dollar values, and break-even spend calculations are computed using our own calculators, not estimated. The numbers in every review are reproducible from public assumptions.
- Verify against RBI Master Direction. Anything related to grace period, finance charge computation, minimum amount due, or customer liability is cross-referenced with the RBI Master Direction on Credit Card and Debit Card (latest revision: June 2024).
- Confirm at the time of publication. Each article carries a “Verified [Month Year]” badge that records when the data was last cross-checked. The badge updates automatically when we re-verify.
- Re-validate quarterly for top-trafficked pages. Premium card pages, tax calculators, and the most-searched listicles are re-validated at least every quarter, and after any material RBI / CBDT / IRDAI notification.

- We do not earn affiliate commissions, referral fees, or any payment from card issuers, banks, or financial institutions.
- We do not accept sponsored placements, paid reviews, paid links, or guest-post-for-payment arrangements.
- We do not republish issuer marketing copy verbatim. Every paragraph is independently written.
- We do not use AI to generate primary product data — only humans verify against MITC documents.
- We do not run native advertising disguised as editorial.
Errors and corrections
If you spot a number that doesn’t match the issuer’s current MITC. Or a calculator output that disagrees with the official IT Department / RBI computation, please tell us via the contact form. We update within 48 hours and post a visible “Updated” date on the page. We do not silently edit articles; the “Verified” badge always reflects the latest re-check date.
