Tata Neu ecosystem (10% total):
- 5% NeuCoins base on Tata Neu spends (non-EMI)
- Additional 5% NeuCoins via NeuPass membership (registered on Tata Neu app, tied to primary cardholder’s mobile from 15 Jan 2025)
Tata Neu brands eligible: BigBasket, Croma, Westside, Tanishq (retail), IHCL (Taj/Vivanta/SeleQtions), AirAsia India, 1mg, Tata CliQ, Cult.fit, Qmin, Starbucks, Titan.
NeuPass exclusions (extra 5% doesn’t apply): Tata Pay bill payments, Tanishq (on EMI), Cult.fit (certain spends), Air India post-Vistara merger, Tata Play subscription.
Other spends: 1.5% NeuCoins on all other eligible retail (non-Tata spends). Effective cashback 1.5%.
NeuCoins NOT accrued on: Fuel, Wallet/Gift/Prepaid/Voucher loads, Rental, Government, Cash Advances, payment of card fees, Smart EMI/Dial-An-EMI, 3rd-party Education apps (since 1 Sep 2024), Online Skill Gaming (since 1 Jul 2025).
UPI spends (RuPay variant): 1.5% NeuCoins capped at 500 NeuCoins/month total. From 01 Aug 2024, structure changed to 0.5% on any UPI (GPay/PhonePe/CRED etc) plus additional 1% if using the Tata Neu UPI ID.
Redemption: 1 NeuCoin = ₹1 when spent on Tata Neu app/website for Tata-ecosystem transactions. Cannot be redeemed as cash or statement credit.
NeuCoin validity (from 1 Aug 2025): NeuCoins expire 12 months from end of earn-month. Previously had no expiry — this is a meaningful devaluation for users who accumulate for large Tata purchases.

Compared with alternatives
HDFC Millennia (₹1K) →
Similar tier fee. Broader 10-brand 5% (vs Tata-only 10%). Pick Millennia for non-Tata shopping.
HDFC Diners Privilege (₹1K) →
Similar fee. 5× Swiggy/Zomato + 10× SmartBuy + milestone vouchers. More general-purpose.
HDFC Regalia Gold (₹2,500) →
Higher fee, 12 auto lounges, broader partner set (not Tata-only), Swiggy One + MMT memberships.
Tata Neu Plus HDFC (₹499) (comparison coming soon)
Lower tier Tata Neu variant. 5% base on Tata Neu. Step down if lounges not needed.
Who the HDFC Tata Neu Infinity is for
Regular Tata ecosystem users — BigBasket groceries (₹10K+/month), Croma electronics, Taj/Vivanta stays, AirAsia flights. At ₹15K+/month combined Tata spends, the 10% cashback delivers ₹18K+/year, easily clearing the fee multiple times. Also useful for IHCL Gold tier access.
Not the right card if: you rarely use Tata ecosystem. The 1.5% flat rate on non-Tata is mediocre. Pick HDFC Millennia for broader 10-brand coverage or Diners Privilege for 5× Swiggy/Zomato + milestones.
How to apply & how to cancel
Apply: Apply via hdfcbank.com/tata-neu-infinity or Tata Neu app (co-branded flow). Pre-approved offers common for existing HDFC customers. Approval 3-5 days.
Cancel: PhoneBanking (1800 202 6161). Clear dues; redeem NeuCoins before closure (forfeited at close + 12-month expiry applies).
Final verdict
HDFC Tata Neu Infinity is the right pick if you’re a regular Tata ecosystem user. At ₹1,499 (waivable at ₹3L spend) with 10% Tata rewards + 8+4 lounges, the card delivers solid value. The 2025 NeuCoin expiry change means don’t hoard — redeem within 12 months. If your spending is not Tata-weighted, better alternatives exist at this fee level.
Frequently asked questions
What is the 12-month NeuCoin validity?
From 1 August 2025, NeuCoins earned on this card expire 12 months from the end of the calendar month they were credited. Example: NeuCoins earned in September 2025 expire on 30 September 2026. Previously had no expiry.
What is NeuPass? How does it unlock extra 5%?

Does the 10% apply on air ticket bookings on Tata Neu?
AirAsia India (pre-merger) earned 10%. Air India (post-Vistara merger) transactions are EXCLUDED from the extra 5% NeuPass — earn base 5% only on Air India.

Both variants exist. RuPay supports UPI linking; Visa has wider international acceptance. Choose at application based on your preference.
What is IHCL Gold status?

NeuCoins are tied to the Tata Neu account linked to the primary cardholder. Not transferable between users.
Is Tata Neu Infinity worth it vs Tata Neu Plus?
