Heads-up — fee & eligibility caveats. The current HSBC Taj Credit Card landing page does not publish joining fee, annual fee, eligibility or specific reward-rate details on the public marketing page. The card is broadly understood to be by-invitation for HSBC Premier / Jade-tier customers and very high-net-worth applicants. Confirm fees, MITC and earn rates with HSBC before applying — this review covers only the benefits visible on the official issuer page.

Welcome benefits (issuer-confirmed)

  • Two nights’ breakfast-inclusive stay at IHCL hotels across India on card activation
  • One-night stay voucher at Taj Palaces on card activation
  • Renewal voucher: One-night stay at Taj Palaces with every new or renewed card (offer valid until 30 June 2026)

Loyalty & status — NeuPass Taj InnerCircle Platinum

The card includes NeuPass Taj InnerCircle Platinum Tier membership — IHCL’s top loyalty tier, normally hard to earn through stays alone. Platinum benefits include:

  • Priority / early check-in and late check-out at participating hotels
  • Dedicated 24/7 Platinum customer-care line
  • The Chambers Lounge access — up to 12 visits per year for the cardholder and a guest (The Chambers is IHCL’s exclusive members-only business lounge network at flagship Taj properties)
  • Access to Taj Club Lounge at hotels with executive lounges
  • Invitations to IHCL “Rendezvous” networking events

Stay & dining privileges

  • Unlimited room upgrades at participating IHCL hotels (subject to availability)
  • Exclusive savings on stays and dining across Taj, SeleQtions, Gateway and Vivanta properties globally
  • Indulgent spa therapies at participating Taj spas
  • Exclusive swimming pool access at participating properties

Travel privileges

  • Airport lounge access (per current HSBC Taj programme — verify visit count and network in MITC)
  • Emirates flight savings on select bookings
  • Limousine transfers available on select trips

Concierge & support

  • HSBC 24/7 concierge: 1800-569-1111
  • IHCL concierge desk: 1800-202-5575
  • Booking, reservation and itinerary support across the entire IHCL network

Who this card is for

HSBC Taj is built for frequent IHCL stayers — corporate executives, family-office heads and HNIs who already book Taj/SeleQtions/Gateway/Vivanta properties multiple times a year for business travel and leisure. The Platinum InnerCircle tier alone is a meaningful uplift over Gold (faster check-ins, dedicated line, room upgrades), and the activation + renewal stay vouchers can recover much of any joining/renewal fee on a single high-end booking. The Chambers Lounge access at flagship Taj properties is a privilege that’s normally restricted to Chambers members — a real differentiator for the Mumbai / Delhi / Bangalore business circuit.

Skip if:

  • You don’t book Taj-group hotels at least 4–6 nights a year — the value framework collapses without IHCL stays
  • You’re chasing flexible airline-mile transfers — TravelOne (HSBC’s own travel card) suits that better
  • You can’t access the card via HSBC Premier / Jade or by-invitation channels

Application & access

Per the current HSBC India website, the card is positioned as a curated invitation product. Applying typically requires being an HSBC Premier or Jade customer or being identified through HSBC’s HNI relationship channels. The “Apply” CTA on the official page surfaces the standard HSBC application flow but underwriting is selective. Recommend speaking to your HSBC relationship manager before submitting an application.

Fees, eligibility, lounge counts, reward rates, and the exact list of participating hotels are not published on the public page — verify these with HSBC and the latest MITC before applying.
