Discontinued for new sourcing. The current HDFC Business MoneyBack issuer page now states: “Sourcing of this Credit Card has been stopped. Existing customers of this card will continue to enjoy the benefits.” For new business cards, look at HDFC Biz Grow / Biz First / Biz Power.

Vs. ICICI Business Advantage Black

ICICI Business Advantage Black at ₹2,500 fee offers 3% cashback on business categories vs. HDFC’s 1.33–2.67%. ICICI also offers up to 5 add-on cards vs. HDFC’s 3. For businesses spending ₹10L+ annually, ICICI’s higher rate offsets the higher fee. For freelancers and solopreneurs spending under ₹5L, HDFC’s lower fee wins.

Who this card is for

  • Best fit: freelancers, consultants, solopreneurs, side-business owners with ₹2–5L annual business spend
  • Best fit: existing HDFC current account holders
  • Best fit: users who want a clean separation of business vs. personal spend without paying premium fees
  • Skip if: you have employees and need 5+ corporate cards — step up to ICICI Business Advantage Black
  • Skip if: your business spend is heavy on travel — a personal Axis Atlas returns more
Verdict: The right “starter business card” for Indian freelancers and small operators. Low fee, easy waiver trigger, decent online cashback, proper business naming on the card. Don’t expect premium-card rewards — this is a clean utility card for keeping business finances separate.
Business card eligibility requires GST registration and business bank account documentation. Verify current MITC on HDFC Bank’s business banking portal.
